• During the mega BLT project for PTCL in 1992-93:

• Regional offices were established in Karachi, Lahore, and Islamabad.

• Several sub-offices were set up across other cities.

• 218,000 telephone lines were installed for PTCL, marking a groundbreaking achievement at the time.   

•   The successful completion of the BLT project:

• Demonstrated Telecom Foundation’s team’s technical capabilities.

• Secured further projects with various leading organizations.

• Approximately 700,000 PTCL telephone lines have been successfully installed by Telecom Foundation, cementing its leadership in telephone line deployment in Pakistan.

• The project spans over 6,000 kilometers, emphasizing Telecom Foundation's role in developing Pakistan's digital infrastructure on a national scale.

• In 2021, Telecom Foundation signed a framework agreement with PTCL to deploy 1.4 million FTTH (fibre to the home) lines, marking it the largest project in the Foundation’s history.

• This deployment covers nearly 80% of the areas across the country.
