Creating awareness on cyber security is a core part of Telecom Foundation’s strategic goals, both for the organization and across its nationwide network of schools. This commitment reflects our vision of preparing students to navigate the digital world safely and responsibly.

In line with this mission, Telecom Foundation has previously collaborated with Telenor on Child Online Protection Program, reinforcing our dedication to building a culture of secure and responsible internet use among young learners.

Under the same theme, UNICEF organized a comprehensive cyber security awareness event at the Aiwan-e-Quaid Library Auditorium F-9, Islamabad on the 2^nd of December, inviting students, teachers, and representatives from the Telecom Foundation Education System (TFES). A total of 25 students and four teachers from TFES Islamabad actively participated in the session.

The event aimed to educate young learners about the importance of digital safety, provide guidance on reporting cyberbullying, and introduce creative initiatives to encourage responsible online behavior.

During the session, UNICEF experts conducted an engaging awareness program covering:

• Cyber security essentials: Practical advice on safe internet use and protection against online harassment.

• Reporting mechanisms: Clear instructions on whom and which official numbers to use if students face cyberbullying.

• Launch of cyber safety characters: A symbolic initiative designed to make digital safety relatable and memorable for young audiences.

• Digital safety anthem: A creative anthem was introduced to reinforce the importance of responsible online practices.

  
  

At the launch of the cyber safety characters, all TFES students were invited on stage, making them part of the symbolic unveiling. The event concluded with UNICEF distributing goodie bags to all participants, adding a celebratory touch to the learning experience.
