Telecom Foundation’s FIBER TO THE HOME (FTTH /GPON) Projects – Enabling a Digitally Connected Pakistan
Successful Completion of Major Fiber Connectivity Projects for PTCL Across Multiple Regions
Telecom Foundation continues to contribute in Pakistan’s digital infrastructure landscape, including the expansion of PTCL fiber to the home (FTTH / GPON) expansion for its customers. As a leading player in fiber connectivity and civil works, the Foundation continues to strengthen the country’s digital backbone, ensuring seamless broadband access across various regions.
With a commitment to nationwide digital inclusivity, Telecom Foundation’s GPON projects aim to enhance fiber connectivity by delivering state-of-the-art solutions. This initiative aligns with Pakistan’s and the Ministry of IT’s broader goal of achieving a technologically advanced and interconnected future.
Milestones Achieved in PTCL Fiber Connectivity Projects
Telecom Foundation has successfully executed end to end GPON projects for PTCL (from 2022 onwards), encompassing both Outside Plant (OSP) and Inside Plant (ISP) work. These projects include trenching, ducting, cable laying, aerial and underground deployments, fiber splicing, rigorous final testing, and termination.
Telecom Foundation has successfully completed the installation process and delivered four major projects for PTCL:
Sariab Road, Quetta: 7,456 Fiber Lines
Jatakabad, Quetta: 3,118 Fiber Lines
Site Exchange, Sialkot: 3,427 Fiber Lines
Sambrial, Sialkot: 444 Fiber Lines
